I do think the use of fossil fuels has affected the climate, but we have all benefited greatly from electricity and gasoline-powered vehicles. Does DeBlasio think windmills will power New York City?
The sun runs the climate. Fossil fuels may have contributed to smog and some pollution, but they are a fourth-order effect on the climate. Sun runs the show.
You wonder what they plan to use for heat.

Man’s contribution of CO2 to the atmosphere amounts to just 0.00136% of the atmosphere- How can 0.00136% of the atmosphere trap and hold enough heat to cause global warming? Answer- it can’t- there simply isn’t enough of it to affect global temperatures- not even slightly
To illustrate- dump 4 five gallon pails of 100 degree water into an olympic sized pool of 90 degree water-
What happens? Essentially nothing- slight very temporary local warming only before the 5 pails quickly reach equilibrium- (ie get cooled to the pool’s 90 degree temperature)
When the agitators have to go from alarm about the coming ice age to alarm about global warming, and then flip to the amorphous climate change, simple common sense says what they are pushing is all BS. Do humans affect the environment? Duh, but we have been doing so for thousands of years. During that time, the planet has both cooled and warmed. Do our population centers create their own micro climate? Of course, but that does not necessarily translate into a planet wide effect on climate. Plenty of times natural weather overwhelms city micro climates.
