President Donald Trump said Wednesday that it “seems unlikely” that he’d give an interview in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into potential coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign.
Trump said “we’ll see what happens” when asked if he’d provide an interview to Mueller’s team.
“When they have no collusion and nobody’s found any collusion at any level, it seems unlikely that you’d even have an interview,” Trump said during a joint news conference with the prime minister of Norway.
The special counsel’s team of investigators has expressed interest in speaking with Trump, but no details have been worked out. Trump’s lawyers have previously stated their determination to cooperate with requests in the probe, which has already resulted in charges against four of Trump’s campaign advisers. …

Mueller has played stupid games in a shame investigation, although, Trump could tell him what time it is.
Trump is again making the case this is all “a Democratic hoax” as he said today, but Mueller is still in the unique position of being a special prosecutor investigating the President.
Chances are, based on president, Trump will at least have to answer some questions, in some manner. That could actually even work in Trump’s favor long term, if Mueller is fair and not setting a trap.
But if Mueller puts Trump through this, and is the least bit dirty, he better be ready for Trump’s “counter punch.”
Where is Sessions? Probably doing the boring, plodding behind-the-scenes work to make an airtight case when it is finally brought before a court of law. You prefer an AG like Holder who runs crying to the press whether he has anything or not?
This is a good time for Trump to play rope-a-dope.
Mueller: I’d like to interview you, Mr. President.
Trump: I see. But not now. Maybe later. I’ll be in touch.

Trump: Oh, that. I’ll run it past my Chief of Staff.

LOL. You sure likes you some Sessions. They say he’s hot on the trail of some pothead.
But his main treachery was accepting the job, knowing he would recuse himself and install a special counsel. That was a low life move.
But what i like least about him is that he makes W sound truly eloquent. Sessions sounds like he is a 2nd grader sounding out words he’s seeing for the first time. He’s an embarrassment.

And yet that’s not his mandate. His mandate was investigating Russia Collusion, not the president.
