Rand Paul is currently on Hannity’s radio show & stated the same thing. He also brought up another idea - that you accept the DACA kids, but you count them against the 1 million legal immigrants we admit each year.
It’s always a compromise with these people. How about stop ALL immigration.
You have to pose this choice to Diane Feinstein, preferably on TV like yesterday. Give them everything they ask for as far as immigration is concerned. Everything. Money, housing, health care, open borders, path to citizenship, everything. Only one stipulation. A 50 year moratorium on voting. Head explodes PFFF.
I would not mix the two, to place dependencies of one on the other.
The battle for another day is to recognize that 1 mil is just the recent-times legal immi's; before that, working quite well, it was 250k per year. It needs to be controlled and managable influx that we can absorb. Indeed, for all years the 'Rats and GOPe have breeched the 1 mil, we should have a like set of years of 0 immi's.
If I stuff myself sick one night with Chinese takeout, I eat VERY lightly for the next couple of days before even returning to normal meals.
