More propaganda from the left in support of the Iran-Russia Axis against Israel and the U.S.A.

My suspicion is Iran, or a group controlled by Iran. Iran probably doesn’t want anybody else playing on their field. Also, they wanted a test of the tactics before investing heavily in them. But logistically, just imagine all that is involved in an attack like this. It’s not some local group.

I don’t know who put together these attacks. But my guess is that the attacks are doing minimal damage and, at the same time, are giving the Russians valuable experience and opportunities to test various tactics and countermeasures to defend against such “swarm” attacks.

Our American military branches need to also develop, test and perfect defenses against swarm attacks. And we need to do that ASAP.

I guess Iran. Iran wants to control Syria, not “share” it with a dominant Russia...

also, Iran doesn’t want Russia with that additional basing point or foothold on the way to the oil fields to the south
(the very same oil fields Iran plans to take, anyway)

but it could be just about anyone. Turkey also doesn’t want Russia there, encircling Turkey and controlling land that Turkey itself wants

of course, anything in the WashPost is probably worthless or even worse (enemy propaganda against the USA’s best interests)

A number of fixed and rotary wing aircraft have been destroyed in these attacks. Aerial photos of the airbase, satellite I presume, show the damaged aircraft, but no indication of craters which you would expect from a mortar attack.

That leads to speculation that these were commando attacks that were performed by operatives infiltrated into the base.

Who has the capability to infiltrate a Russian held military base undetected? Probably not free Syrian forces.

Rumor on the interwebs is that this is the work of Gulf Coalition Council countries, led by Saudi Arabia, utilizing fuel-air explosives.

Article says the drone swarm may have come from “moderate” rebels in the Ibdib area. Syrian troops are moving in on an airbase controlled by rebels in that area.

“One of the myriad Syrian opposition groups is the most probable suspect, Suchkov said. According to a report Wednesday in the Russian Defense Ministry’s official Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, the drones were launched from a village controlled by the “moderate opposition” called Muazzara in southern Idlib province. Russia has sent a letter to Turkish authorities urging them to comply with Turkey’s obligations in the area under ceasefire agreements with Russia, the report said.

“But that nonetheless leaves a question mark over which of the many groups was involved. because rebel groups typically claim all their operations. “If it was the opposition, they tend to put everything online and boast about it,” Suchkov said.”

“Rebels” aligned with Turkey and the House of Saud.

Purchasing supplies from CIA.

You can take that to the bank.
