Agreed, and for a licensed psychiatrist to make a diagnosis without examining a patient is a gross unethical act, one that in my view should cause their license to be revoked.And the examination is under patient-doctor privilege. The client holds the right to privilege meaning that the information can only be released with the patient's permission. The exceptions to that privilege are few and certainly are not there to let some talking head yak away on a news show.
