Trump can’t win here now that he is in for the penny. This is his hard test and he played his hand (as far as we know).

Brilliance would rebound for him if he can get democrats to refuse to approve his deal, “shut down” the government and have Trump eliminate completely until Democrats can decide to fall in line. It would be one hell of a rope-a-dope if he could pull it off. As I understand it, DACA expires after a time and has to be renewed or revamped (maybe I misunderstand). If Trump can keep the Democrats disagreeing and refusing for long enough, the problem might take care of itself and the challenge will be pinning the results on the Democrats.

That said, RINOs want the same thing the dems want. So I don’t know how Trump gets around it. Republicans always insist on playing political Russian Roulette with a fully loaded revolver.

Half right. This meeting the other day with Dems where Trump let the press stay, was more Trump “GENIUS” (Brilliance).

I believe it was part of his plan to shut down the government if he doesn’t get the border wall and other border security measures he wants.

While former attempts by Republicans at shutting down the government to get their way have been DISASTERS, almost to the point of destroying it as a tactic, Trump is laying the groundwork ahead of time so that this time the Democrats will get the blame.

If a (so-called) government shut down is a hill you are willing to die on, then fight until you win or DIE on it.

If you “surrender”, then I guess it wasn’t really a hill you would die on was it.
