And Tucker.......disappointing. Laura Ingraham got it right on her show.

No one was mentioned him but Lou Hobbs is perplexed by Trump's performance yesterday. I f you want to know my opinion on Trump, watch Lou Dobbs he is very much in tune with my opinions.

Did anyone notice that Trump said he would not object to restoring ear marks in the legislation?

I mean, you have to give something, right?

No, you don't. Not when you hold the Oval Office and a majority in both houses of Congress.

Investigate, Arrest, Deport. Cut off all government benefits to illegal aliens.

No to DACA!!!

YES to MAGA!!!

Furthemore, since there are several pro-DACA people posting on this thread with similar rhetoric, it isn't exactly self-evident that your remark was sarcastic without the tag.

No matter what sort of deal Trump makes, it will be reported as “Amnesty” by both the left and the anti-Trump right. Deporting all of the so called Dreamers is not feasible. A path to citizenship is the only logical way to deal with the problem but must be restricted only to those with clean criminal records, the ability to speak English and a demonstrated ability to make a positive contribution to our society. Criminals and their families, those who refuse to learn the language and those dependent on welfare, can and should be deported.

I think that’s the best deal that can be made on DACA and Trump has tied that to funding for the wall and enhanced border security. In yesterday’s meeting he repeatedly shut down any attempt to divorce DACA from the wall and security.

Thanks, I’ll look around for Dobb’s show from yesterday.

We’re all pretty nervous on how much we’ll be giving up. I’m guessing Chain Migration is where we’ll have to nibble on the sandwich of poo, it’ll probably be phased in, possibly DHS wont get all the expedited removal options they want, but we’ll get an end to the lottery system and wall funding.

Plenty are squawking about his earmark comments. Trump has a completely valid point though it seems it’s the only way these deals get done. Even Obamacare required greasing some palms, of Democrats!

That’s true. He’s done if he grants amnesty to all those illegals. Build that wall! Build that wall! This is not a game to his voters. He also said he was more concerned about American dreamers than foreign dreamers. America First!

When I hear “not amnesty”, my brain automatically translates it to “amnesty”.

“Lots of concern-troll shark jumping going on lately ...”

Right, because Republicans have never promised to fix the immigration fiasco and then broken those promises when they got into office. Never, ever has THAT happened before. So to worry about that, one must be a concern troll!

Deporting all of the so called Dreamers is not feasible.

That old red herring again - "we can't deport them all, so let them all stay." We can't catch all thieves either, does that mean that the thieves we can catch should go unpunished too?

A path to citizenship is the only logical way to deal with the problem

You say this as though it's somehow self-evidently true that illegal immigrants are entitled to citizenship.

but must be restricted only to those with clean criminal records, the ability to speak English and a demonstrated ability to make a positive contribution to our society. Criminals and their families, those who refuse to learn the language and those dependent on welfare, can and should be deported

I suspect that the best we'll get from this is throwing out those with criminal records (probably restricted to felons). Since nobody seems to have the sense to make English America's official language, there won't be a language requirement, nor will there be any requirement about making a positive contribution to society. In other words, with DACA, we're stuck with almost all of them, and probably their parents as well. If that isn't amnesty, I'm not sure what else to call it.

Should have stopped at the apology

Since you're such an arrogant jackass, I'll just retract the apology and stand by my second statement about this thread being infested by advocates of amnesty by stealth. A lot of the rhetoric I'm reading ("can't deport them all", "only decent thing to do") sounds like a cut and paste from a Jeb Bush speech.

Right, because Republicans have never promised to fix the immigration fiasco and then broken those promises when they got into office. Never, ever has THAT happened before. So to worry about that, one must be a concern troll!

There are two types of people who supported Donald Trump in the primaries. The first category consists of rational people like you who realized that he was better than the alternatives but still fallible and subject to the same criticisms and standards that we apply to other politicians. The second category consists of people in search of a "Dear Leader" and a cult of personality. For this second group, the leader can do no wrong, even when he goes against the very positions and issues that got him elected (and if Trump adopts the same position on an issue as Jeb Bush or Chuck Schumer, he's just playing "three dimensional chess" that we mere lesser mortals can't fathom).

Members of the first category get called "NeverTrumpers" (even though they all voted for Trump), "concern trolls" (even though they're just pointing out facts), and a whole bunch of other catch-phrases that cult members use against skeptics.

If he alienates his base, he will be the first president removed from office.

Balderdash. Spoken like a true Leftist having a wet dream.

President Trump's base would never allow him to be removed from office, no matter how angry they were with him.

The notion is absolutely ludicrous. Get a grip...
