On the heels of companies dishing bonuses of up to $3,000 to over one million workers due to the anticipated benefit of President Trump’s tax reform victory, several major utilities have announced plans to cut rates in a consumer payback related to the lower taxes.

Energy suppliers like Washington’s Pepco, Baltimore Gas and Light, Pacific Power, Rocky Mountain Power and Commonwealth Edison said they plan to give hundreds of thousands of customers a rate cut due to the tax reform.

You can find plenty of people on this site who trashed the tax cuts because there was no ‘trickledown’ and corporations would pocket the savings. I’ll be looking to see what the SALT haters have to say when they actually file their taxes, too.

Pity those folks. They must be getting tired of all the winning Trump has foisted on them.

Certainly isn’t Duke Power rolling back rates— they continue to push Smart Meters forced installation, and rate hikes to cover wind power subsidized windmills in the Outer Banks NC. Being the monopoly they are, perhaps this will break them up. Heard in passing a comment about the remaining coal fired plants/operators needing help to overcome all the crapola obamaumao foisted on them, as well as the US coal operators- thinking because the US is still importing coal as it exports coal (a very odd situation).

Meanwhile- Southern Co. in GA got approval for 2 new nuclear plants at Plant Vogtle. And Duke? pushing natural gas, all the way down to florida and requiring a currently under construction new gas pipeline through florida (with eminent domain easement, the works).

Just think of the ‘windfall’ if We the People had been given such as given to biz.

Hell, I’d even take “If the (R)N(C) had actually delivered on their platform and promises: SMALLER GOVT”. But, when you have a Uniparty ‘debating’ on *PAYING for tax cuts*....
