Apology NOT accepted! White House says 'the man has lost his mind, and good riddance' after 'Sloppy' Steve Bannon claims he was not talking about Don Jr when he slammed 'treasonous' Trump Tower meeting

On Sunday, Steve Bannon released statements to Axios apologizing to President Trump and Donald Trump Jr

'I regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding Don Jr has diverted attention from the president's historical accomplishments'

He explained that when he labeled the Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous' he was criticizing Paul Manafort, who should have known better

Donald Trump Jr, Bannon said, 'is both a patriot and a good man,' as he complimented the president for his political savvy

Bannon also played up his longtime loyalty, claiming, 'I am the only person to date to conduct a global effort to preach the message of Trump and Trumpism'

White House said Monday that there's not any conceivable 'way back' into Donald Trump's good graces for Bannon after the book revelations

The White House rejected an apology from Steve Bannon, the president's former chief strategist, on Monday, saying there's not any conceivable 'way back' into Donald Trump's good graces for him.

Bannon apologized to President Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr, on Sunday, for slamming a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting that's come under scrutiny from the feds as 'treasonous.' Raj Shah, the top deputy White House press secretary, said on Monday, though, that on Fox News that President Trump's opinion 'hasn't changed' since Bannon's statement.

'Frankly, look, the president said it, the man has lost his mind, and good riddance,' Shah proclaimed.

On the bright side, Mister Bannon always has a nice career waiting for him as a designer if high fashion men’s wear.

Bannon seems to think that he’s the smart guy and Trump is his puppet.

No, Bannon may be smart, but Trump is the boss. And he’s smarter.

I think Bannon is sincere. I don’t really think he meant to screw up so bad. But he did. And he apologized.

But with a man like Trump - you don’t get a second chance.

“Loose Cannon” Bannon owns the mess that he created, and any late “apology” he might offer carries little weight.

It really looks as if Bannon’s plan was to take down the Trump presidency—burn it to the ground. He held off with his apology while he gauged whether Trump would survive the Wolff book or not. When it began to appear that Trump would persevere, Bannon offered his belated ‘apology.’ Small wonder it was rejected.

Bannon is now a cautionary tale for anyone else in the administration who thinks they are smarter and can or should second guess The President.

According to some conservative pundits, his apology was not only late but somewhat self-serving and not complete.

This is devastating to the Left. They were going to use Bannon as the right’s Nancy Pelosi in the mid-terms and now they don’t have a villain to tie Republican candidates to. I also think Trump and McConnell made a deal. This is probably why Corker, Graham, and Flake are now speaking positively about Trump.

The current power structure of the two major parties only serves the interests of about 25% of the country. The other 75% has no representation and has already rejected globalism. Trump's election proved that.

All Bannon has to do is give speeches about economic nationalism and all the rust belt will listen and get it. He will get large crowds by default. I am not saying Bannon is special or defending what happened but he is the only one that is doing that. As imperfect as he is, Bannon is the only one. Republicans are globalists and hate Bannon.

Bullsh**

Bannon didn’t just make a mistake, he was A LEAKER, and stayed on the phone with reporters from NYT and other leftist outlets.

He will get large crowds by default.

Respectfully, my FRiend, I do not agree.

Mister Bannon's judgment is beyond suspect; and, there are just some tailspins that are "unrecoverable".

You’re a tad deluded re: Bannon’s power.

PS.

Honestly, Bannon looks like someone who needs a 12 step program, like yesterday. Bannon must lay low, recapture his personal life, recharge his batteries.

He is a Christian, so prayerful reflection and scripture is in order, along with the help of the Holy Ghost. After a period of time he may be able to heal some of the wounds he created for himself and others.

Steve Bannon is a smart guy, his heart is in the right place. He's young enough and still has plenty to offer. Nothing like a deserved dressing down to excise the hubris and foster some humility.

Nobody is picking up the nationalist banner. Who will and lead the USA if not Trump? Globalism is dead it’s just that the power structure doesn’t realize it.

It’s not about Bannon it ‘s about fundamental change and taking power back from the globalists.

I don’t know Steve Bannon well, only through the interesting updates LS posted last year. And I’m not that interested in this gossip fest. The man looks a lot like many functional, late-stage alcoholics who blackout on a regular basis.
