Forever, if the person or program gives them votes, money or both. Note that “Affirmative Action” (i.e. racial quotas for descendants of slaves and other pro-Dem groups) was also supposed to be temporary. Yeah, like we still need it some 40 years and a Black President later...not enough that I was discriminated against for school and work, now it is my kids’ turn (despite no members of our family having even BEEN in the country during slavery, and my kids having been born 40 years after the Civil Rights Act was passed).

I am getting SICK AND TIRED of preferences for those that either didn’t suffer, or don’t need them.

Leftists and RINOs use the word "Temporary" to get their foot in the door.

But their true intent is that no leftist wealth redistribution program will ever be anything other than permanent.
