Agreed, but I think you only have to go back to 1960 or so. LBJ’s “Great Society” boondoggle snatched defeat from economic victory for blacks:

Yeah, and looking at the chart in the article, the black-white unemployment gap got worse 2008-2012, then started to improve greatly in Obama's second term. This is only a continuation of that.

Trump's policies are great for the country as a whole, but I think it's ridiculous to claim credit specifically for improving black unemployment.
