As it happens, I was the JFKSWC School Sergeant Major that Joe Murray replaced when I retired on June 1, 1989.
Joe was a good soldier and a good friend. His passing is a loss felt by the entire Special Forces family.
Keep an eye on the perimeter, Joe. We’ll all be along shortly.
I got that giant one sheet SWC phone directory for 1989 in a drawer somewhere.
Have to dig it out and look at all the names again.
