Don Jr: Bannon's Time Was 'A Nightmare Of Back-Stabbing, Harassing, Leaking, Lying & Undermining'

Donald Trump Jr slammed former White House advisor Steve Bannon on Wednesday after it was reported that Bannon claimed last July that his meeting with a Russian lawyer was "treasonous" and there's "zero" chance his father didn't know about it.

"Steve had the honor of working in the White House & serving the country. Unfortunately, he squandered that privilege & turned that opportunity into a nightmare of backstabbing, harassing, leaking, lying & undermining the President. Steve is not a strategist, he is an opportunist," Don Jr. wrote on Twitter.

From the article:

(Anthony) Scaramucci told The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza in July: "I'm not Steve Bannon, I'm not trying to suck my own c**k. I’m not trying to build my own brand off the f**king strength of the president. I'm here to serve the country."

In December, Scaramucci told a crowd at Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's Hanukkah party: "He's a loser. He'll be a stalwart defender of Israel until he's not. That's how this guy operates. I've seen this guy operate. He was a stalwart defender of me until it became better for him not to be." The Mooch added, "The problem with Bannon is he's a messianic figure. It's his way or the highway. He was dramatically and incredibly divisive in the White House . . . He was leaking on everybody . . . You don't leak on the president if you're the president's senior adviser. So the guy's a loser."

I still say hold your fire.

I agree if we need to choose between Trump and Bannon, we should choose Trump.

But there is a sizable section of the acting administration who is not exactly building up American businesses. They are the old-school, sell out to foreigners gang. I do not know ether Don Jr. fits in that.

But I say we hold off on judging Bannon, for a couple days. Just a couple days.

This really, seems not to mesh with what I’ve seen before.

Who is trying to stir things up? And why?

@LouDobbs ~ “What in the world was Steve Bannon thinking?!”

Ed Rollins ~ “He set himself on fire in the middle of the south lawn and the President ran over him with a tank, then he put it in reverse and ran over him again!..I think it’s the end of Bannon”

... lol

Steven Bannon was on Sirius Radio twice since this was published yesterday, on the Breitbart morning show and the evening. He didn’t once take the opportunity to deny he said these things to the author, who certainly has a reputation of misquoting. If Bannon was misquoted, he would have denied the statements were ever made by him.

Can Breitbart dump Bannon, or does he own the joint?

Refute it? Breitbart published the excerpt without denying it.

Who knew? The disgraced and swearing Mooch is more honorable than the supposedly brilliant strategist. Ha.

Mercers own it.

He doesn’t own it, I think. I wonder how that works. They sure are going to lose visitors.

Whoa. That sounds like at the very least, Mercer is pulling out of Breitbart as long as Bannon is still running the show. So he may be forced to step down. His throwing his weenie around got Bannon what, exactly? Does he know how to lose? Yes. He does.

This infighting helps no one but the Left. If Bannon actually said the things he's quoted as saying, he's got a big mouth and he needs to leash his ego. If he didn't actually say the things he's quoted as saying - and apparently Michael Wolff's book has some obvious falsehoods in it - then Trump has over-reacted wildly and insulted a guy who is on his side.

In either case, some silence would be better for a few days - especially from the president's kids. Comey has just been accused of having leaked classified info to the press by Charles Grassley, and all we're hearing about is this nonsense.

You’ve given good advice on holding off on judging Bannon. There will be more detail with greater truth & accuracy coming on this.

And this is not the end of Bannon and not the end of Breitbart. There are many ‘RAT Senators in red states up for re-election in 2018. Many of these ‘RAT Senators WILL be defeated. It will be imperative that as many of their replacements as possible be non-globalists who oppose open borders and Amnesty of any form. Bannon, Breitbart and their kindred souls will have important roles in achieving those desirable outcomes — as will we all!

Senator Chuck Grassely Turns His Twitter Death Ray on James Comey

Saint and Fired FBI Director James Comey has a twitter account. He uses to send out what appear to be fortune cookie messages outsourced from China to Hallmark that hint at things in the news of which he is too high minded to speak but which he give Delphic warnings……

Then Senator Chuck Grassley, or whoever manages his twitter account rode to the rescue, subtweeting the hell out of Comey:

Law enforcement shld NOT be independent of constitutional oversight. Like the military, FBI/DOJ accountability to ELECTED leaders is essential for liberty. We are ACCOUNTABLE to the PEOPLE in our representative govt. Hoover FBI was unaccountable/did great harm w abuses of power.
