A federal judge has ordered the government to give bond hearings in preparation for releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants from Iraq back into the community, saying the Constitution protects them from indefinite detention here in the U.S.

Judge Mark A Goldsmith, an Obama appointee to the bench, had earlier halted deportations for nearly 300 Iraqis, saying that although they’d long been ordered removed, conditions on the ground have changed and they deserved new hearings.

First he prevents them from being deported and then he complains that they have not yet been dealt with.

Truly an asshat of the lowest order.

This is why we should have an offshore location for the detention of “refugees” of questionable intentions. By being disconnected from the mainland, it serves as a barrier for any “release into the community”, as the released ones would have to swim through perhaps shark-infested waters, and it may be prudent to stay put just a little longer.

Return to their locality of origin is always an option to be offered if the detention proves to be too confining for their free spirits.
