President Donald Trump distanced himself from his former chief strategist Steve Bannon on Wednesday, contending that "he not only lost his job" but also "lost his mind" when he left the White House.

On Wednesday, excerpts from an upcoming Michael Wolff book showed that Bannon called a June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer "treasonous" and "unpatriotic."

This is breaking news. Please check back for updates.

If you weren’t paying attention, you would think this book was written by Bannon. It wasn’t.

A man with solid judgment would hang up the phone immediately once Wolff identified himself. You would not say word one to him.

Most likely ..... unless you were drunk.

Now is NOT THE TIME for either the President or Bannon to be taking shots at each other......very STUPID given the full on assault against our Republic

Trump keeps naively moving toward the center.....and the establishment GOPe/DNCe center only has venum for his kind intentions.

With ‘questionable’ I mean to say that their loyalty to Trump is questionable.

Trump:

“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.

Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans.

Steve doesn’t represent my base—he’s only in it for himself.

Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.

We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down.“

LoL - excerpts from that idiot Michael Wolff’s book.

The guy is reality challenged:
- - -

“On Election Night, when the unexpected trend , Trump might actually win, seemed confirmed, Don Jr. told a friend that his father, or DJT, as he calls him, looked as if he had seen a ghost. Melania was in tears—and not of joy.”

And

“Trump was horrified at winning.”

- — -

Did Trump seem to you have seen a ghost and was terrified to you on election night? Bwahahaaa...

It is going to be fun watching all of those people who were Never Trumpers who are out on twitter today reveling in the “news” of this taking everything they see as validation of their subdued biases.

The only thing I have seen is that all of this is from excerpts of a book being released by some Trump hater by the name of Wolfe. Somebody said something about this being from Bannon tweets but he has said multiple times he does not tweet. Then we see this long winded statement supposedly from Trump, no original sourcing.

There are a few in particular but I won’t add to the fire, there is enough at a certain residence in Chappiqua right now with reports that the bedroom is fully engulfed.

Just how much weirder can this day get?

According to the paper, Sara Sanders, the Press Secretary, is the source.

Fox goes with unnamed sources as well, is that your source for Trump’s ‘statement’?

Clearly, you are not serious.

Every news outlet in the world has the statement released by the White House.

He just took a running leap over the line, and set a world record for the broad jump. “Treason”? This guy’s a flake. I concur with Trump.

Do not believe this trash and not worthy of a "winning" statement.

Until confirmed by worthy news organization or President Trump himself via a tweet this is pure garbage.

Bannon has denounced it and having Drudge support it makes it even more unlikely. Drudge is getting beat like a rag doll by Breitbart News and would do anything for them to lose some viewership.
