And I can only imagine what a heightened moment the protests are providing for right NOW ... prayers for the Christians gathering in prayer in the midst of them.
Do not forget that to convert FROM Islam to ANY other religion is considered apostasy of the worst sort, so it is an act of EXTREME commitment to take that sometimes totally irreversible step.
Personally, I would prefer to see Zoroastrianism restored to all the old Persian Empire, because it was much more compatible with the older Judaism and early Christianity. The Farsi were, after all, forcibly converted to Islam to begin with, and have put their own distinctive brand on their version, with doctrinal differences from that originally espoused by the sun-crazed old sand hermit, Mohammed Ali.

I guess Matthew really does live under a rock!!! All I've heard about for over a year now is Russia hacked the DNC & colluded with candidate Trump to steal the election, as a case that we must demonize Russia at all costs. Perhaps his umbilical cord is still attached? He & mom are both stuck on stupid.
There is a good reason why nothing should be said about such conversion.
Muslims have traditionally have dealt very harshly with Muslim->Christian converts.
Most Muslims take their religion very seriously.
These people don’t play politics. They don’t think twice about using guns and swords to maintain their religion and power.
Western meddling in Iran will cause trouble for Iranians.

...but I'm maintaining a healthy skepticism.
Christianity has an appeal like democracy, that is very hard to squelch. That both represent a *better way*, a path to efficiency, in the case of democracy, and *civility* in the case of Christianity. Both also embrace true “modernism”, a rejection of the warlike and primitive barbarity of the past.
On the other hand, both socialism and Islam reject civility and embrace brutality and death. Where is, where can be, the future in that?
Even an uneducated peasant can see that democracy and Christianity are the better choice; and the worse socialism and Islam behave, the greater the contrast.
I see this more as a MIRACLE of God in regards to Muslims coming to faith in Christ.
I thought that the correct phrase is: “Our help is in the Name of the Lord”.
But I could be wrong.
