The founding fathers never intended federal political office holders to have a lifetime seat. Term limits

Term limits are what an active, informed, participating electorate brings to pass.

They are already term limited by vote every 2, 4 or 6 years...

You have inexperienced people who can’t handle terrorist attacks, etc. You need SMART people, people who have TRUST AND HONESTY.

Yeah!!! Let's hear it for the truly experienced Senators.

Three Cheers for John McCain!!! Mitch McConnell!!! Thad Cochran!!! Diane Feinstein!!! Patrick Leahy!!!

A toast to the great service of Barbara Mikulski! Another to Harry Reid!!! Lift your glasses to the Lion of the Senate, the late lamented Ted Kennedy!

Yes, these great men and women have admirably served these United States. We need more like them.

And, who knows how much longer McShame will be around???

My bet is until 2/14, Valentine's Day.

What's yours?

Do I detect a note of sarcasm?

People in MS believe in him and have since 1972, when he first went to the House; then six years later, the Senate, forever more.

They won’t figure out any such thing in UT. They believe in the “Mormon candidate.”

After Cochran, next in seniority is Charles Grassley of Iowa, elected in the Reagan landslide.

Take a lot to make Paul Ryan look good but this just about does it.

FYI
Presidential succession is:
President
Vice-President
Speaker of the House
President Pro Tempore (Senate)
Cabinet Officers by order of creation

I think McShame might finally relinquish his seat sometime this summer.
Cannot see him serving any longer than another few months, after looking at recent pictures of him in a wheelchair.

What’s more, I still expect his daughter, Mehgan, to succeed him, capturing the sympathy vote and keeping their legacy going for decades to come. Hope I’m wrong.
Arizona desperately needs two new genuine MAGA conservative senators.

First, I need to correct my spelling, I should have typed Meghan.

I hope Arizonans are, indeed, not that obtuse.
Yet, one has to wonder about what’s in their heads, continually voting for McShame as well as Jeff Flake.
Furthermore, I wouldn’t be surprised if Meghan had none other than Uncle Joe Biden campaign for her.
He apparently made an emotional appearance on The View, commiserating with her (both his eldest son, Beau, and, of course, her father stricken with brain cancer).

Hoping that Arizona elects Kelli Ward next Fall to replace Flake, in the meantime.

“After Hatch leaves office, and should the republicans retain the Senate majority, Thad Cochran will be senior-most republican senator, and will likely be made President Pro-Tempore, third in line for the Presidency.”

Enough with the drool squad.
