Will people like Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills, Heather Samuelson and Bryan Pagliano be the Scape Goats who get burned to protect Hillary?

I’m pretty sure twitter manipulates the replies. Sometimes the top ones are pro Trump, most often they are the same responders with severe TDS.

There is a political component to this, and the media is against Trump. Do you see the narrative that has been playing out the past week or so, Trump becoming a dictator? Put public pressure on the DOJ to go after Abedin, the DOJ OIG report will serve as the basis to go after the DOJ and FBI officers who conspired to protect Hillary from prosecution and then illegally targeting her political opponent, as well as to re-open the Clinton email scandal which served to protect her pay to play schemes while serving as SOS.

“Intent is not a presentable defense.”

I believe you, but that's what Comey gave as a reason for not recommending indictment of Hillary - no proof of intent.

No way to prove that. Someone described Trump as a lightening rod, he takes all the hits. Ask, what is Rick Perry doing, what is Scott Pruitt doing, what is Betsey DeVos doing, what is Jeff Sessions doing? They are quietly doing what then need to without getting hit by lightening themselves.

Any case against the “deep state” and HRC mist be absolutely overwhelming and air tight. It will never fly otherwise. Remember Trump said a storm is coming, when all the i’s get dotted and all the t’s crossed we might see something. Until then I for one am willing to be patient.

Exactly. The NeverTrump contingent and other associated concern trolls love to emphasize "what if"? Oh, the horror, a real live shooting civil war!

Well, I've got news for them: if the republic & rule of law isn't restored during Trump's tenure, the left will come back with a vengeance after Trump is gone, whether it is 3 or 7 more years.

Then, we will get our little shooting war, but rather than holding the advantage with the president and military, it will be patriots vs fed.gov. And that will be that.

I really hope you’re right. However, contrary to what many people think, the OIG is an INTERNAL office within the DOJ. In my experience, most OIG’s have some degree of integrity BUT they are not always willing to slam their own agency. They often stop short of producing very damaging findings. Its the nature of the beast. Again, its the INTERNAL nature of an IG’s function that acts as a governor on how far they will go with regards to publishing evidence that essentially indicts their own leadership.

Just my personal observations. The DOJ OIG may hint or suggest that there’s evidence of political malfeasance but I doubt they will produce a game changing report. In other words, I wouldn’t expect their report to levy any charges of conspiracy or corruption that would severely damage the reputation of the agency. Most agencies circle the wagons when they have to.

Sessions has been in the epicenter of the DC Swamp for 20 years. He’s a player who has been in the game for a long time and has cut many deals. Just sayin...

Your call to inaction is either purposely encouraging a depressed response to a clear and present threat, or you're just a wee bit naive & clueless.

For politeness sake, let's assume the latter. So, in you fantasy world, after the left resumes control of the government after Trump finishes either 1 or 2 terms, the country returns to a basic electoral tension that is resolved through traditional democratic means.

To accept that scenario is to either be completely unaware or willing to studiously avoid recognizing the preceding 28 years of criminal activity and widespread corruption. Now, why is that? Why are you proposing something that is clearly, on its face, a false narrative?

I've got news for you Nancy: there's no going back. When the patriots backed Trump, we put a target on our backs. 60m people will be slated for removal as domestic enemies the moment the left returns to power. We've got hold of the tiger's tail, and we now need to make a decision of what to do. Just letting go and saying "my bad" will result in being eaten.

Yep. And it immediately signaled all those familiar with the statutes that a full blown cover-up was in play. Trump certainly has started the New Year with a bang...giving them something to think about, travel catalogues to peruse, rates of exchange in foreign, non-extraditable countries to consider, etc. gotta love ❤️ it.

They all cut deals. Its what they do up there. They make “accommodations” for their votes on legislation and especially for political funding. Politics is euphemistically referred to as the art of compromise, but there’s a lot of money and self interest involved. That’s how they stay in their seats for so long.

Sessions was on four committees and numerous subcommittees during his tenure in the U.S. Senate. You can be sure there were many quid pro quo’s over those 20 years. Nothing unusual really; they all do it.

So you can’t name any deals Sessions that place him “in the epicenter of the DC Swamp for 20 years”?

Remember how Ted Cruz the “principled conservative” admired Jeff Sessions? Was that misplaced respect for a man who actually was a swamp creature cutting “deals” as bad as all the rest?

I don’t think so.

The Sessions hate we see here on FR is rather illogical.

Not really. He has been in office for nearly a year now and has had plenty of time AND opportunity to start draining the Swamp. He needs to restore people’s confidence in the Department of Justice Department but so far has done nothing to right a floundering ship.

What is illogical about expecting someone to do their job and maintain the integrity of the office he or she holds?

You don’t know what Jeff’s been doing. A case like one against HRC and company would have to be kept under wraps until it is impeccably airtight or it wouldn’t fly.

Read post 49. Trump is not going to rush into this carelessly like many here want his and Sessions to do. They will do it right.

Up on Drudge now. Can’t be ignored. This is a true test of Sessions and Wray. She needs to be arrested, and it announced publically.

No excuses. None.

If it doesn’t happen, Sessions needs to be fired. None of this 9d chess crap. Either he’s in, or he’s out. Literally.

You don’t know what Jeff’s been doing.

************

I know that he recused himself from any investigations into President Trump‘s campaign. However, that does not absolve him from his responsibility of enforcing integrity standards within his own Department.

At this point (and I think you would agree) there are so many conflicts of interest within the Mueller investigation and highly unethical actions within the FBI that, at the very least, he should have stepped in to remove conflicted people who are severely damaging to ongoing investigative processes.

Right now it looks like he is allowing wolves to guard the chicken house and people’s confidence in our once highly respected institutions are being eroded on a daily basis. This is a crisis of confidence in my opinion and it needs to be addressed now.

Sessions wanted the job. Its time that he shows he is up to it and steps up to help his boss start draining the Swamp.
