Asylum Seekers Overwhelm San Diego Border From Eritrea, Cameroon And Mexico
Breitbart ^ | 1-1-2018 | Michelle Moons

Migrants from countries like Eritrea, Cameroon, and Mexico have flooded the U.S. southern border in San Diego to such an extent in recent days that U.S. border officials have been unable to process them without long lines forming on the Tijuana side of the border. Nearly 100 migrants lined up in a plaza on the Mexico side of the border that leads to the San Ysidro pedestrian border crossing in San Diego last week because of the backlog, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. Mexican officials told those who tried to sleep in the plaza that they had to leave. Eritrean migrants cited in the article claimed that last Monday 25 migrants were temporarily jailed for waiting in the plaza.

One of the Eritrean migrants told the Tribune that he felt racism, “big discrimination,” and no respect in Mexico.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials are working to process the foreign nationals that arrive at the border and are working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to one who spoke with the Tribune. It takes time to process each individual and move them from holding cells to detention.

As the report details, migrants who claim fear of returning to their country are transferred to other immigration officials for consideration of potential asylum cases. An excess of these cases can back up the space available to process more individuals.

Migrants are not stupid. They all have “ a reasonable fear of persecution” if they are apprehended. They know it makes deportation unlikely and eventually they will be released from detention centers. Most of the third world would come here if they could.

WTF "process them"? Don't let them in. Then they will go back to where they came from, and make their countries better.

I would have to believe that most Mexifornia residents who so love open borders - even to the point of passing a state nullification act calling themselves a "sanctuary state" - would be welcoming of all comers with open arms.

Come on now Mexifornians start sharing your wealth with the rest of the globe who have less!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that the policy you liberal coastal states have been preaching to conservative red state fly-over country for decades now?

“”from countries like Eritrea, Cameroon,””

We need to be asking the name of the Non Governmental Organization that transported these folks from their home country to Mexico. Most likely the NGO was funded by our own State Department.

EXACTLY!! Follow the money that arranged, transported, fed/housed these people, got them legally into Mexico, and dropped them off at the CA-US border, ready to say and do the ‘right things.’

That’s right! You don’t just get magically transported from Africa to SD on your own.

Also reported in this Breitbart article—

“”In just the month of October 2017 CBP Border Patrol San Diego border sector reported apprehension of individuals from Bangladesh (12), Brazil (1), Camaroon (3), Chad (1), China (16), El Salvador (76), Eritrea (7), Gambia (4), Guatemala (178), Honduras (54), India (101), Iran (1), Mexico (1,877), Nepal (31), Nicaragua (1), Pakistan (13), Peru (1), Somalia (1), and “Unknown” (1) — a total of 2,379 individuals””

Looks like Mexico is encouraging folks from throughout the world to come to Tijuana. These folks are likely the first link in future chain migrants.

Build the Wall and Drain the Swamp.

What the article fails to mention is that those from Eritrea and Cameroon are Christians fleeing Muslim persecution.

I know a Eritrean immigrant who became a citizen in the mid eighties. When I first met him he was a 3rd shift clerk in a hell hole area c store. He now owns 12 c stores. He has brought many Eritreans to the states and many work in his stores. A few own stores themselves. I know many many of these people. To a person they are hard workers,
Christian and appear honest. At the risk of being labelled sexist, very pretty women too. If they’re legal, the Eritreans I know are pursuing the American dream.
