Heavy metal, techno, punk and New Wave were all represented on the charts, thanks to MTV. One of the most interesting acts to come out of England was this band, whose lead singer would show amazing versatility over the years. The sense of menace and paranoia in this songs lyrics is remarkable.

I kind of lived that time, having a Jazz show on the college radio station, but also being called 'New Wave Dave', by my peers.
