I turned 62 this year and signed up as soon as I could. Our financial advisor said waiting would not help much in our situation. The increases in our IRAs will make up for it. We plan on enjoying retirement while we can.

I signed up at 62 too.
My dad passed at age 60 (pack a day of Camels.)

I turn 62 in Feb, so need to start thinking about this too. If I knew how long I was scheduled to live then the answer would be easy, but I don't know... so its a tough call.

Big question that wasn’t addressed:
If you’re single, what will you do for health insurance if you take social security at 62?
