I get the vaccine every year. I had the Hong Kong flu in college and never want to be that sick again. Now as a health care provided I am mandated to get the vaccine or I cannot work in the hospital, but I would get it anyway

Same here - both myself and husband in 1969. Could crawl to the kitchen to get an orange and that was it. Coincidentally, we both stopped smoking just a couple of months before we were hit.
Never had a flu shot until diagnosed with COPD 4 years ago...Wasn’t going to take a chance on anything resembling the Hong Kong flu again. Never did have the flu after 1969 and I figured that sucker was so bad it immunized us...
I quit practicing 3 years ago and work as a director in a building several miles from the hospital but because I have MD after my name, I’m required to be vaccinated also. Fine by me though haven’t missed a dose in 28 years.
Out of curiosity, are you also mandated to receive the Hep B vaccine series?
