If you ever want to know how little Hollywood studios think of you, the audience, just read this quote: “The critic aggregation site increasingly is slowing down the potential business of popcorn movies. Pirates 5 and Baywatch aren’t built for critics but rather general audiences, and once upon a time these types of films—a family adventure and a raunchy R-rated comedy—were critic-proof.”
IOW, they hate that the masses point out that their films are crap.

Yes! Meryl needs to finally be HURT for all she has done as a hypocrite feminist. Lecturing to us. Calling Weinstein a deity in a good way. Standing O for a man who raped 10 year olds, and was convicted of drugging a 13 year old and raping her vaginally, orally, and anally.
SHE MIGHT AS WELL HAVE HELD HARVEYS PENIS WHILE HE SPRAYED IT AT THESE WOMEN.
I won’t knowingly see another Meryl streep Project. She’s in one that is out now. I hope it does poorly. What a nasty phony she is.

Shouldn’t the top 10 be the biggest names of douchebag sleazes in Hollywood and NYC/DC media raping and sexually harassing underlings for 20 years (dating back to their approval of Bill Clinton’s own workplace sexual harassment suits)?
Those kinds of movies are for entertainment. Looking to those movies for a message or inspiration is a set up for disappointment.
Or as I always say, “If I want to get preached to, I go to Church, not the movies.”

Glad I dont give one gram of crap about pop culture.
There is one, and only one Meryl Streep movie I recommend people see - the 2004 remake of “The Manchurian Candidate”.
The music, at the beginning is kinda hard to take but there are some significant scenes in there immediately after that intro (not the movie intro, the card game in the transport. Two scenes just after that for the whole movie.
Now, the Democrats including grope-ya-while-ya-sleep Al Franken intended this to be about W and the Texas company.
They accidentally show the “messiah-worship” liberals would have for Obama (desk clerk at rooming house) and Meryl Streep (who I’m sure won’t admit it) is doing a “Hillary Clinton” impersonation. Even looks like her.
You’ll have to watch the movie at least a couple of times to catch all the little scenes that are in there without audio clues as people pop in and pop out. I saw it at the movie theater and didn’t really care for it.
Bought it on DVD and have watched it ove a dozen times. There’s just so much in there. Including folks who figure out what is happening or are about to and mysteriously wind up dead or missing. Sorta like Seth Rich or other folks from the Nachum list.
Ironically, Meryl Streep’s first major role was in the mini-series “Holocaust”. In it, she sleeps with the Camp Commandant in order to get him to send her letters to her Jewish husband in Dachau (played, interestingly enough by, James Woods, who is the polar opposite of her, politically).
Sounds good. She wasn’t bad in deer hunter either. Ha ha
