Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz says he’s feeling the heat from family and friends over his defense of President Trump amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
“It’s caused me to lose seven pounds,” Dershowitz told Politico. “My liberal friends don’t invite me to dinner anymore.”

Its been very interesting to watch Prof. Dershowitz actually exercise academic freedom during a time when academia is resorting to censorship and groupthink.
He still is. He can't defend Trump with out back door defending Hillary. Moral equivalence crap in every appearance I have seen.
I suspect Alan is still a Liberal. And, will likely always be a Liberal. Having said that, he is first and foremost, a believer and defender of the Constitution and the rule of law.
His support of Trump comes from a legal perspective, not one of ideology.
He is an honest and principled man that happens to be a Democrat. Not too many like that...
I echo your response to Dershowitz: They are not your friends; they never were.
I pretty much lost a sister and a brother because of my vocal support of President Trump. I’ve tried to separate politics from day to day discourse but it seems to make the situation worse. Both of them get what they think are facts from MSNBC and CNN and are totally misguided. They are convinced that Russia helped Trump win the election.
Then they were never ‘friends’, Alan...................
