The time is now for a grandstand Gowdy letter of concern to somebody.

Democrats would do themselves a favor by dumping Schiff.

The entire universe would do better by dumping Schiff. What a complete embarrassment he is to himself at this point. He could easily be made into a laughing stock with his idiotic nonsense.

I had a relative at Christmas bring up FBI corruption and this fake Mueller investigation. This person is not a huge partisan, but took notice at how all this appears to be all bunk or corruption.

Hear what you want, believe what you may. Disinformation is all over the place and all of it did not start until the news of the OIG was presented.

Doing the job Sessions and Wray refuse to do.

Or, helping them set the stage by having a more independent look-see to validate future actions.....

It's not about names. Robert Mueller has one of the most recognized names in recent DOJ history, but that made him completely inappropriate for a variety of reasons for his appointment. And while I'd love to see someone like Tom Fitton or Larry Klayman, who would seem quite appropriate from their Judicial Watch fame, they would be considered too partisan and biased against certain counterparts.

The only stipulation should be they are not associated with current Washington D.C. politics. A previous state's Attorney General for example, who has a history of cleaning up dirty cops. There are plenty of people out there that they could find who would do an honest and fair job. And that's all we need, since they won't have too dig deep to find rampant corruption staring back at their face.

It's not about names.

Au contraire. It matters very much who is named as special counsel or independent prosecutor. And the people whom they select to be part of his/her team. Naming a special prosecutor is predicated on the notion that someone outside the system and partisan politics is necessary in order to achieve a perceived fair result. The history of such appointments does not bode well.

Most, if not all, state AGs are elected and are members of a political party. Could you provide a name or names of potential candidates?

Fame should have nothing to do with it. Most special prosecutors were names that were relatively unknown until their appointment. Find a retired state's AG from a battleground state with a history of jailing cops.

Naming of a special counsel is a political act and there is no way to insulate it regardless of who is chosen.

Most special prosecutors were names that were relatively unknown until their appointment.

Relatively unknown to whom? The General Public? The political class?

I want to see who, when and how these people got their jobs. I suspect most were jOkeass appointees.
