The Embassy will be guarded by well-armed Marines, and if they ask for help from Israel, we’ll send our own crack troops. This isn’t going to be the Benghazi consulate.
No, and it's not like the Embassy in Tel Aviv isn't a target. Actually though you'll see them on the perimeters, Marines are responsible for interior security. Outside is the responsibility of the host country, or rent a cops we hire. Don't think this is an issue in Israel. Interior security, in a crisis, relates first to classified documents, which isn't to say the safety of personnel would be ignored, but they're there to protect our secrets. Even the lowest enlisted rank must qualify for a top secret security clearance, something some of the upper crust of the Obama administration couldn't likely obtain.
