Road Trip: Christmas With Our Troops

The Defense Logistics Agency provided more than 200,000 pounds of turkey, ham, shrimp, and other foodstuffs, including more than 6,500 pounds of marshmallows. In total, DLA Troop Support provided troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait.

Actor and U.S. veterans’ advocate Gary Sinise is visiting American service members in Afghanistan and Iraq this week ahead of the Christmas holiday.

The 62-year-old Criminal Minds star and founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation posted photos from his trip to Afghanistan this week, where he joined troops and medical staff at Bagram Air Base and posed for pictures with soldiers at the Forward Operating Base Fenty in Jalalabad.

It sounds like it was fun for all of you. The circumstances were a little weird but the end result worked out great.

It’s time for us to have cold weather but this is a bit below normal for Dec. It hurts even more because it was so warm just before the front slammed in.
We’ve had colder so I won’t complain too much. LOL

Be careful driving to work. Those streets still look treacherous. You need more snow!

I did get some AWESOME presents. I got a Walmart gift card. Also some winter jumpsuit clothes. It went really well.

Gooood day-after-Christmas to y'all!
Was it all merry and bright?
We had a wonderful quiet day.
We sure did miss Dulcie's presence though.
She always spent Christmas with us.
It was very chilly but it didn't rain/snow.
And the best part of today?
Since retiring I DON'T have to work the day after! LOL!
It's a nightmare I don't have to dread anymore.
Anyhoooooo....🦉.....hope all of you have a Terrific Tuesday!
