I didn't live in Maine but I did live in the next state over, New Hampshire, for 14 years. In most cases you have to own your own plow truck and you subcontract it out during the winter. I had my own plow but I only did my driveway and a couple of neighbors. If it was a bad storm I'd have to plow my way to work. I knew lots of people who worked the storms and they all had 4 wheel drive trucks with big engines and 8 foot plows.
An entrepreneurial Somali could start by shoveling, work up to a snow blower then save for a truck but actual professional snowplow drivers would already be working for the road department doing other jobs when it wasn't snowing.
Somalis don’t have to work in Maine. They collect.
