I'm thinking the Persian Gulf is to shallow for submarines.

The Persian Gulf completely dried up during the Ice Age.

Good question - Iran is huge - I remember Bandar Abbas is really far south. I’ll have to take a look at the map again.

The sheer size of Iran was a surprise first time I looked at it.

The Persian Gulf completely dried up during the Ice Age.


The Persian Gulf did not exist before the end of the Ice Age, after which global warming caused by a one mile wide comet strike melted the 2 mile thick glaciers causing sea level to rise 400 feet.
