My wife is Japanese and she’s taught me a lot about Nippon in the last 35 years :- )
One big factor going against marriage for young women is the custom for the eldest son to take in his mother into his household.
So the mother-in-law often puts a lot of pressure on the wife of the eldest son. A lot of women want no part of that.
Plus, as has been said, young women can find ample employment so there’s less need to go the married route.
Yes, this makes sense.
I think the ruling government is concerned from the standpoint is they want the young population to support the aging Japanese seniors who live longer than seniors in other nations.
The bottom part of that pyramid will be in Italy within the next 10 years
if they take in more immigrants, they better pick the right ones....other Asian countries with closer ties to the Japanese culture...
Japan needs true Christianity. True Christians reproduce because we have the best reason to, which is God’s love.
