A code of silence (with women)
lowel sun ^ | 12/21 | Peter lucas

When it comes to sexual misconduct, he is not even Matt Lauer, let alone Charlie Rose. Matthews, of MSNBC’s “Hardball” fame, only had to pay out $40,000 to settle a sexual misconduct complaint from an assistant producer, and not the millions dished out by Fox News’ O’Reilly to make similar complaints go away.

And who knows how much it will cost these boneheaded, mulitmillionaire television personalities (or former television personalities) Lauer and Rose as more women come forward to accuse them of immoral behavior in the work place?

These are frightening times we live in.

Which has led to my Christmas Eve decision not to talk to women in 2018

Gandolf said it best the other day.

For every girl now complaining about sexual harassment there are probably dozens more who OFFERED sex in exchange for parts.

The morons now accused should have been happy to stick with the willing.

Women realized they lost in the sexual revolution.

Easy access to sex with no strings attached = why buy the cow when you’re geting the milk for free?

This is an attempt to re-introduce Puritanical mores into male/female sexual interactions under the guise of protecting weak-willed snowflake females from ubermench bosses and co-workers.

Postfeminism society now and the message is, “Women are weak and need laws to protect them. They can have sex anytime they want, but if a man pursues them he’s a guilty jerk worthy of career destruction for one offense - no trial needed.”

Even worse, those complaining now who accepted parts for silence years ago left countless other women exposed in the intervening years. In other words, the “victims” being trotted out today allowed the abuse of other women for years with their silence...

“Easy access to sex with no strings attached = why buy the cow when you’re geting the milk for free?”

Right. And they manage to sell abortion on demand and free birth control pills as “women’s rights” or “women’s healthcare”.

Sad truth. Reminds me of an item from The Devil’s Dictionary (Ambrose Bierce):

PRUDE, n. A bawd hiding behind the back of her demeanor.

I think that’s where we are today. Phony prudery.

That can also be considered harassment.

Get married to a nice woman, and you never have these issues again.

Change the laws.

A women can report sexual harassment within 4 years or it's past the statue of limitations.

If she comes forward after that time and her memory costs the man his job, he can counter sue for all wages lost.

Time to get real on this issue. Also, women who ‘put out’ to get ahead can be sued by the women who DID NOT get a rightfully earned promotion.Again, a four year limitation so any 'proof' is still possible ...

It’s amusing the women who slept with any number of men to advance their careers are now being called courageous for coming forward decades later. Essentially a Hollywood career for a woman is over by age 40 with a few exceptions. Careers finish they complain about being harassed decades earlier now that it in no way costs them anything.

There’s a great book on how women dominate our culture called THE MANIPULATED MALE. The latest ‘sex harassment crisis’ is yet another method women acquire power over men. Just the threat is enough.

Pence had it right! Have your wife there and never be alone with a woman who can accuse you later. Also, a good way to avoid temptation.

4-year statute won’t really matter.

A woman can just say it happened 10, 20, 40 years ago (as we saw in a recent election) and the allegation is enough to destroy the man’s career.

Actually, if you’re alone with a woman you’re potentially a victim of a sex abuse allegation.

How do you operate a business without being able to have a conversation with a woman alone at some point?

Install cameras and recorders everywhere to have evidence of non-harassment? Might be where we are headed.

Lenin advised “Accuse others of the things you do.” Fitting motto for today’s left.

I think that’s not been said at all to the women accusers.

“If you were abused, why did you stay silent and allow many other women to be abused in the years that followed?”

But it’s ‘victim blaming’ if you even ask such a question according to the ‘rules’ of conduct now.

Women always to be believed. Women never at fault regardless of how they dressed or acted. Man is always guilty if accused. There are no defenses (both drunk etc.) for the man. To even question the woman makes you a victim-blaming woman hater.

Note all these ‘rules’ popped up AFTER BillHill lost the election. They couldn’t touch this topic until after she lost.

“This is an attempt to re-introduce Puritanical mores”

Conservatism is the recognition that some social norms are the result of lessons learned at great cost.
Progressivism is the rejection of those norms just because they’re not immediately understood.

I’m living long enough to see progressives re-learn many of those lessons, and do so at great cost.

Who says the memory of some of these gals isn’t rather more convenient than facts? What could a guy do to fight back?

Opportunities for a shake down under these circumstances are ripe.

Want one females opinion on all this? Given an opportunity most men can-and will-descend to caveman status at one time or another. It would be easier to consider EVERYONE alive as guilty of sexual misbehavior at one time in their lives and then concentrate on real physical assault that can be proven. And pics of someone touching your diaper or boys looking up your dress in 1st grade do not count! Overall we get in life what we put up with re. mistreatment of any kind. You either put up with mean, abusive, crazy people and choose martyrdom OR you DO something about it immediately and/or put a whole lotta gone between you and the situation. Predators of all kinds go for the weak. If you can't control the abusive behavior of another you can, and should, deliver commensurate suffering-immediately. A kick to the groin followed by a lawsuit never fails to impress.

Well, the original poster said he would not talk to women in 2018. A slightly different topic. I generally agree - using Mike Pence/Billy Graham rules make sense for any man in a position of power.
