Pennsylvania coal production slows but stays above 2016 levels

Miners produced 981,000 short tons of coal last week compared to 999,000 tons the week before. For the year-to-date, Pennsylvania bituminous coal production was up 13.2 percent, anthracite production was up 7.4 percent and national coal production was up 7.9 percent.
