You sign a contract that I adhere to, any and all means are justified in making you fulfill it. No limits, no mercy, no extenuating circumstances. I have no problem with the utmost violence of both the State and the mob being visited on anyone, any institution or any political group that suggests that the contract be unfulfilled.
You go ahead and advocate cutting off the only thing between a whole heck of a lot of elderly people and complete penury, see where that gets you. What do you propose to do about the money that was taken from me, you, and everyone who has ever worked in this country? LALALALA you just want to hand it over like a socialist. That’s fraudulent misrepresentation on a planetary scale.
Everything but the green and the orange can damned well go away before one bloody cent comes out of what I’ve paid into; and I’ll gleefully render violence that would shock a South African mob on anyone and cheer on the neckties if they even seriously suggest not paying it. A few cinders hanging by piano wire from lampposts will begin to give ‘em an idea of geezer wrath.
Look, son, this isn’t a matter for voting on. You can plug your ears and scream if you like. Maybe it will make you feel better. Maybe calling me ugly names makes you feel better, too. It doesn’t matter. When we run out of other peoples’ money, we run out. Then the SS checks end whether we like it or not.
Have fun surviving the collapse.
I’m sure it makes you feel better to say all that.
It would make me feel even better to take the first politician or pundit who seriously suggests that and give the nation a youtube demonstration of a South African necklace.
Look pops, I called you no names, let alone ugly ones. Perhaps you’re confused again.
You can scream and shout yourself red in the face ...
IT DOESN’T MATTER
Either we massively reform socialist insecurity (get Big Daddy Government OUT of the retirement business), or we run out of Other Peoples’ Money and collapse.
You don’t get a third choice.
You falsely implied that I was a socialist. That’s just about the nastiest thing you can call someone.
So, in light of this and in defense of your putatively conservative FR bona fides, what do you propose to do, just give money obtained under the auspices of Social Security to the government? What other comparison is there to make, other than to a socialist? It's certainly not conservative.
What money? It's all gone. Spent. SS is a straight "Peter to Paul" transfer of funds. It's a complete fraud.
The real problem is to find a way of indemnifying those of us who have been robbed by the government for decades, without continuing to rob other people.

It was taken from individuals with a balance statement with projected future benefit provided. The only way out is to compensate and make whole the individuals who have contributed in the expectation of receiving the retirement payments, with interest.
You want to just give it all to the government. The more you insist about this the more you begin to not just seem like a socialist.
Socialist insecurity and medi"care" taxes were taken at gunpoint from some people and immediately given to others. You seem to suffer from the delusion that there's some pot of money, with your name on it, being kept for you by the "Social Security Administration". You're wrong. The box is empty. There's nothing there. If Fed.gov were to quit robbing your kids today, it would have zero to pay your SS check. You keep calling me a socialist; I think you don't know what the word means. "Social Security" is socialism. You defend it. I oppose it, and warn that it WILL collapse as ALL socialist schemes collapse.
You want to just give it all to the government.
You are a liar.
but, I’m sure that amnesty is on their agenda.
You propose no other alternative than just giving it to the government and immediately fly off the handle with the ridiculous Larry O’Donnell “lying liar” crap?
There’s a pot of money that’s been taken, with statements provided and future benefits projected for those from whom the pot of money was taken. In order to make these people whole, who have paid into this system with the full expectation of receiving retirement payments in return as indicated via statements and future benefit projections, this money must be returned to them, with interest.
Yet, you’re very resistant to this completely conservative, rational and legally correct solution to the system that you so despise.
Why is that, if you don’t want to just give it all to the government?
There’s a reason that Social Security is called the “third rail of politics.”
Hello, McConnell? Hey. The last time I checked, republicans were in the majority. Do you think when the democrats regain power (God forbid), that they’re going to give a rat’s behind what republicans want? Stop kowtowing to democrats!
There is no "it" to give. Not to the government (God forbid), not to retirees, not to little green men from Mars. Get that fact through your thick skull. There is no "trust fund". There is no "pot of money". It's gone. Spent. Already given away. IT DOESN'T EXIST.
Until you get over your delusions, you have nothing worthwhile to say. Your "analysis" of the situation, based as it is on complete falsehood, is meaningless.
Yes, there is an “it” to give, just as there is for every other government payout. They control the printing press for dollars, get that through the hole in your vacant cranium. Why do you want to screw US workers out of money honestly earned and honestly paid in under the expectation of receiving retirement payments? They paid for this, with balance statements and future monthly payout forecasts. But, there you go, you just don’t want retirees to get their money back, you’d rather give it to fat cat bureaucrats in DC and welfare wards of the state.
You’re a real mess and are no conservative.
