My family has been home schooling since 2001. We've paid property taxes to support the local public schools for all that time, with zero benefit to ourselves.
I know it wasn't part of this bill, but I would loved to have had a federal tax deduction for all that money we've paid for so long.
Homeschooled for some 15 years. A decent private school curriculum never cost more than a couple hundred a year per kid. But still, I agree that there should be credits for homeschooling families whose kids can either pass standardized tests or have special needs that are according to professionals being addressed. If your kid is doing as well as his peers at public school (or better!), you should get something for that.

It was part of the bill the House voted on this morning (529’s for K-12, including home school), but removed by the Senate this afternoon, hence the re-vote tomorrow. Really, private/home school costs should be deducted from state/local taxes, not Fed.
considering what hes been up against since January, the guys had a hell of a year!.....almost completely wiped out 8 years of communist muslim “whats his name”....thats whats really driving the media crazy...best election ever.
