Why did Dr Park wait until now to write this Op-ed? The North Koreans have been starving for over a decade. Were sanctions not in place during the Obama regime? Is Kim’s “Military First policy” that prioritizes sending food to the military rather than civilians also our fault?

The Norks could have solved their problem when Obama was President simply by converting to Islam. He would have lifted the sanctions, sent them a few nuclear warheads, rockets and pallets full of American cash.

It is not “our” fault, it is the fault of the scumbags running North Korea.

If it's anyone's fault other than the leadership of North Korea itself, it's China. Without China's support, NK wouldn't exist in its current form.

Even without the massive military expenditures they can’t feed their people. Pure socialism/communism offers no incentive to work. Look at the old Soviet Union where we sold them wheat to keep them from starving and currently the latest ongoing example of the failure of the collective, Venezuela where they are eating dogs and cats to stay alive.

Yep, NYT’s history damns itself.

They could switch tmoney from Democrat donations to food for NK, and feed tens of thousands. Do it, NYT. Do it!

When millions actually starve, the North Korean problem will be diminished.

This is the companion article to “Hunger in Venezuela is Devastating, and it’s Not Our Fault”. NOT.

In fact, maybe the NYT thinks that is our fault as well.

Hey Kee B. Park , an army marches on its stomach.

I don’t expect you or the editorial board at the nyt would understand that.
