Saw a liberal friend of mine post this on Facebook:
“Trump’s budget plan SLASHES Social Security. It could devastate MILLIONS of seniors who count on Social Security to make ends-meet. Sign your name (and here she posts a link to one of those .org left wing things) to block Trump’s disastrous cuts to Social Security”.
Cannot find anything about Trump’s budget slashing SS. Does it or is this all based on fake news from the left? I’d like to answer her but don’t know what to say except I suspect this is left wing bunk.
It’s the rats that want to slash social security.
Social security is a payroll tax and is not touched by this in any way. You pay %6.2 and your employer pays 6.2% on your behalf: 12.4% total.
