Trump Might be Able to Fire Mueller, Without Actually Firing Mueller

For several months now, we’ve been on Mueller-watch, waiting to see if and when President Trump takes action to remove Robert Mueller from his post as special counsel in the Russia probe. This past weekend, Trump was asked point-blank whether he intends to fire Mueller – an inquiry to which POTUS responded an unequivocal, “no, I’m not,” followed up by the usual insistence that there was “no collusion whatsoever” between his campaign and Russia.

While it’s certainly a bit calming to hear that our president isn’t planning to go full-scale Nixon on the special counsel charged with investigating Russian interference into our election, Trump-watchers aren’t sighing with relief just yet. All signs are pointing to 45’s employing something of a work-around that would result in Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s being the next to hear, “you’re fired!” by President Trump. Yesterday, the Washington Post published a story detailing POTUS’ recent criticisms of Rosenstein. According to senior officials, Trump has been calling Rosenstein “weak,” and has mocked Rosenstein’s recent testimony before the House Judiciary Committee; Trump is also reportedly unimpressed with Rosenstein’s accountability, and has characterized Rosenstein as a “threat” to his presidency. Oh, and Trump also thinks Rosenstein is a Democrat.

Don’t fire him. Give him enough rope and he will resign in disgrace.

Appoint a pro-Trump special prosecutor to investigate any one of the Hillary lawless activities. Use that as a basis for going after the Lawyers around Muller.

Fox reported:

<><> (1) Nellie Ohr worked last year for Fusion GPS, which commissioned the salacious anti-Trump dossier.

<><> (2) Fusion’s secret police investigated Donald Trump on behalf of “sure-thing” Hillary and the “impartial” DNC.

<><> (3) Fusion was paid indirectly by the Clinton campaign and the DNC.

<><> (4) British ex-spy Christopher Steele and Russian sources put together the salacious dossier.

<><> (5) the phony dossier was likely used by the FBI to fraudulently obtain FISA warrants to surveil Team Trump.

ANALYSIS Well finally. The nefarious nature of the so called “Russian dossier” has come to light, and its salacious (lewd and crude) allegations against President Trump will soon be shown for the slanderous falsehoods that they always were.

Potential charges include:

<><> conspiracy to file false FEC discloses regarding payment to the Russians,
<><> making-up slanderous untrue allegations,
<><> participating in a slanderous action as the basis for a FISA warrant,
<><> filing false affidavits to the FiSA court,
<><> wire-tapping a candidate during an election,
<><>tapping phones at Trump’s business/residence

Yet, the most enormous among the felonies committed is withholding information from the FISA court-—to dupe the court into giving them the go-ahead to wire-tap.

The REAL problem is that the (faked) Trump dossier was represented to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), as a genuine intelligence document.......used to get the go-ahead to conduct surveillance on individuals in the Trump campaign, and president Trump himself......and unmasking innocent citizens in the process, including General Kelly.

It is a felony to WITHHOLD info from the court to get the OK to surveil someone.

<><>Did UN Amb Power’s innumerable requests for a FISA warrant stipulate that Obama and his NSA adviser Susan Rice wire-tapped Trump Tower......while Trump was a candidate?

<><> Did Power’s obsessive requests stipulate that Obama’s CIA director Brennan used phony foreign intel as a pretext for a multi-agency investigation into candidate Trump?

<><> Did the request for a FISA warrant stipulate that phony foreign intel led the FBI to probe a computer server connected to candidate Trump (residing and conducting business in Trump Tower)?

<><> Did the request for a FISA warrant stipulate that foreign intel gave cover to Susan Rice’s sifting/unmasking operations?

“Let’s recap, Rosenstein is a Republican!”

Who knew? Based on his behavior he’s at best a Booshie/NeverTrumper. I hope that Trump fires Rosenstein and then sees what Brand does in terms of managing Mueller. The other thing that Brand could do is cut Mueller’s budget severely.

"Did UN Amb Power’s innumerable requests for a FISA warrant"

I'm not clear on what this means. Is it a reference to Powers requesting so many "unmasking" reveals for people in transcripts from FISA warrant surveillance?

Except none of that makes sense. Mueller is hanging himself daily. Why interfere with his suicide? While I do not expect great things from the IG report the steady dripping of documentation about FBI espionage against Trump is enough to lock the kit and kaboodle up for life. Trump plays the long game. Breath deeply and relax. The only people expecting Trump to fire Mueller are those who believe Trump is in trouble. Keep thinking that way, Elura Nanos. You too will be stuned, if you are not already.

That website you got the article from is a Dan Abrams entity. He has been on TV for a long time and definitely leans Dem. The article lies on a number of points and is very anti Trump.

If at all possible, I think Mueller will indict Don Jr. on a process charge.

This will force President Trump to step in and put an end to this nonsense, at least to pardon his son.

This will get the desired effect, as the Left goes postal over it.

We’ll sit here and laugh at them, as they make fools of themselves. We’ll also be very angry about it.

Obama UN ambassador’s testimony raises new questions / Fox News ^ | 10/20/17 | Claudia Rosett

New report says that former US Amb to U.N. Samantha Power
‘unmasked’ Trump associates, ‘unmasking’ one person a day in the final days of the Obama administration.

Congressional testimony by Obama’s former ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, about the “unmasking” of U.S. citizens’ names she requested in hundreds of foreign intelligence intercepts by the National Security Agency, has raised new questions about how the sensitive information was ordered up, and subsequently handled.

Power spoke to the House Intelligence Committee on Oct. 13 behind closed doors, and what she said is still cloaked in secrecy. But on Oct. 17, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, who also sits on the Intelligence Committee, told Fox News: “Her testimony is they [the unmasking requests] may be under my name, but I did not make those requests.” Gowdy said little else about the session.

The sheer volume of such requests submitted to U.S. intelligence authorities in her name was already unusual. But if she did not initiate them, then who did, and why? Was the resulting information delivered to Power, as the normal protocols of handling such constitutionally-protected information require? Was she even aware of the gush of highly sensitive and secret information solicited under her name? So far, Power has not responded to queries on those issues, which were emailed by Fox News to her Harvard University office on Oct. 19.

According to former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, a Fox News contributor, if someone submitted unmasking requests in Power’s name without her knowledge or consent, it would be “potentially criminal.” “Unmasking” involves asking U.S. intelligence authorities to fill in the redacted names of U.S. citizens whose comments are caught up in the NSA’s foreign intelligence intercepts, which are routinely removed to protect their Fourth Amendment rights. Such revelations are supposed to be relatively rare, clearly justified and tightly controlled.

The issue flared, however, after the unmasked name of the Trump Administration’s disgraced former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, was leaked in connection with conversations with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak. Concerned at the leakage of unmasked names, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has been delving into what happened, and how to prevent abuses.

In May, the House Intelligence Committee subpoenaed the unmasking requests of three former senior Obama administration officials: Power, National Security Advisor Susan Rice and Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan. Power agreed in July to appear before the House committee; Rice spoke to the committee in closed door session on Sept. 6.

Power’s role in the unmasking affair was highlighted by Nunes in a July 27 letter to Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats. In the letter, the House committee chairman cited an unnamed Obama Administration official for the high volume of their unmasking requests, noting that this official’s position had “no apparent intelligence-related function.”

The official was widely believed to be Power, something she never denied.

In August, Nunes wrote to the head of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael Rogers, asking for the total number of unmasking requests made by former deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, during the 13 months prior to President Trump’s inauguration. With the exception of career-CIA officer Brennan, the other persons are a group of politically-appointed Obama loyalists, all serving at various times during his administration on the National Security Council.

Trump will fire Mueller if and and when Mueller ceases to provide necessary distractions tin order for Trump to get his programs and appointments implemented without the frantic opposition of the Left that Reagan had to face constantly. The MSMLEFTDEMS outfit is so tied in knots about the fatuous Russia noise that it masks the real alterations that DJT is spreading over the bureaucratic and Foreign Policy landscape.

Exactly! Don’t fire him. Give him enough rope and he will resign in disgrace.!

Each day he and his long time Deep State Thugs are in the DOJ/FBI.

The more we learn about their criminal acts, from the White Hat/Good Guys and Gals via leaks to Fox and other internet sites.

Those leaks have been like early Christmas presents for Trump, each day for at least a month.

Fire Rosenstein. President Trump, if he was smart, would immediately fire this POS based on his testimony before the Senate.

IIRC, Power said of the ~260 requests in her name, she only personally asked for a couple dozen of them.
