Somebody is engineering a fail here. That’s how it looks to me. With this type of news I don’t’ think we’ll be seeing McCain back in the Senate. If we do, then my guess is that he’s taking a piss on PDJT.
Everybody including the enemedia is counting this in the Win column for Trump — it’s not been voted on yet.
If they replace McCain, They can’t swear the replacement in until next term because McConnell is putting the stop on Jones being sworn in early. He couldn’t justify swearing in McCain’s appointment and not an elected Senator.
Jones’s election wont be certified until sometime after 26 December and he can’t be sworn in until then.
This bill is important to McConnel then. He’s many things but he is not into career suicide.
