Authorities are saying Dykes was murdered after finding her dead body tossed to the side of a major roadway over the weekend.

Did anyone actually proofread that sentence? Seems pretty straightforward to me. Someone happened along and found her dead body by the side of the road. Given her condition, she couldn't defend herself so they murdered her (again).
