Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo) told KQED Newsroom on Friday that she believes Republicans are trying to shut down the House Intelligence Committee’s probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
Speier also said, “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22nd, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller.”
If this were to happen, Speier said, it would cause a constitutional crisis. “That is Saturday massacre 2.0,” she said. “Without a doubt there would be an impeachment effort.”
Fellow representative, Adam Schiff, had the same concerns.
Schiff says that no witnesses have been scheduled after next Friday, and that dozens of outstanding witnesses have not been contacted. He tweeted that there will be interviews next week, but they will be held out of state while important votes will be keeping members of Congress in Washington D.C.

They’re baiting Trump because they know Mueller has blown all credibility and has come up empty.
There is no need for Trump to fire Mueller. McCabe will resign before he has to testify before Congress next week. Mueller won’t be far behind.
I read somewhere that Mueller had to get 'special dispensation' because he was tainted by the scandals in the FBI while he was Director. So, he is flawed to the nth degree before all of this misery even started.

Trump’s team plants this rumor. Libs squeal to high heaven and defend Mueller.
Mueller then comes out with a report that incriminates Rat power players.
