BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Federal officials on Thursday announced charges in a scheme to enter into fraudulent marriages in order to circumvent the nation's immigration laws. The marriage fraud ring allegedly operated out of Brevard County from 2015 to 2016.

According to court documents, immigration agents worked with the Brevard County Clerk of the Court to track a significant surge in the number of aliens from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other former Soviet countries, marrying U.S. citizens in Brevard County.
Looks like they got on this quickly and with complete County level cooperation. In contrast to other areas of the nation that want to harbor/encourage illegals and illegal activities!
While I fully enjoy life in GreenAcres now, I do miss Brevard County from now though mid-March.
Yes, it is happening all over. As a former INS Special Agent I was involved in many marriage fraud investigations. There’s lots of money to be made by shady characters entering into sham marriages. ICE believes, wrongly, that these type of investigations are no longer a priority.
