Special counsel Robert Mueller's office has reportedly requested information from Cambridge Analytica, the data firm utilized by the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Mueller's team has requested all emails from employees at the firm who worked with the campaign.
The request, which wasn't previously known, was voluntary, as was another request the firm complied with from the House Intelligence Committee, the newspaper reported.
Cambridge Analytica CEO Alexander Nix also interviewed with the House Intelligence Committee over video call this week, according to the report.
Nix was reported earlier this year to have been in contact with top Trump donor Rebekah Mercer about better organizing emails being released by WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange tweeted that he could confirm that he was contacted by Nix prior to November 2016, and that Nix's request was declined.

In Wisconsin, they had their own Muller investigation called John Doe.
An inspector general investigation showed the the “evidence” gathered by their Mueller type ended up in a hard drive partition called “Opposition Research” on Republicans
The hard drive and all opposition research they gathered vanished into thin air , presumably to haunt Wisconsin Republicans for a generation, and now the IG does not have the evidence to prosecute the Democrats who abused their system

Trump has not been told he is under investigation.
I would simply ignore this voluntary request. It is a witch hunt that would result in many lost hours and cost to the firm.
As an older American who saw America in better days, I am disgusted and fearful of an obviously politicized government and internal collusion against a rightfully elected President. It is my hope that reasonable limits will be imposed and enforced on the Mueller investigation and that it will end soon. I am also hopeful that the end will result will be the cleaning house of the CIA, State Department, Justice Department, FBI, and any other federal department found to be colluding in the nomination of Hillary Clinton and defamation of President Trump. This is what 8 years of an Obama Administration has brought us.......a more corrupt government than previously existed. The only difference is that corruption is now “in your face” and without penalty. Government employees, be they elected or hired, have morphed into a privileged class believing we serve them rather than they serve us. It is time to stop this charade and clean house.
So what? What is illegal about organizing leaked emails. I hope Nix and company told Mueller to go pound sand. At the least, told Mueller . . . see you in court schmuck.

Trump should refuse to release his campaign e-mails. Unless Mueller, the FBI and DOJ release any and ALL documents requested by Congress.
