ESPN Bosses Warn Employees About Biased Social Media Posts, Claim Network is not About Politics
ESPN is a journalistic organization not a political organization. We should do nothing to undermine that position, Merida said. ESPNs focus is sports. By-and-large we are not experts on politics, healthcare policies, terrorism, commerce thats not what we do."
Our audience is not looking for our opinions on the general news of the day, Merida added. And believe me, I get it. It can sometimes be difficult to control impulses or ignore trolls, but thats what were called to do for each other.

Finally someone giving these mouth breathers at ESPN a reality check. “you’re not expert in chit outside of sports”
Sorry ESPN, but when push comes to shove, you’ll back the BLM crowd well before any conservative, veteran, or patriot.
Good. Chicken wings are overpriced.
Chicken Wings!?!
These jerks need to use
Chicken Entrails to
See the Future,
It ain’t good.
They sure as Hell
Will not learn from the past!
WINNING!
Only Roger Goodell and the NFL could make wings not fly.
Ha! Change your name to SJWN and get it over with!
Okay, then keep politics the hell out of the NFL and I might consider watching it again.
Hope the price is reflected in the grocery store by New Year’s day bowl games.
a. Good! Anything that HURTS the NFL and those down the Food Chain is fine with me.
b. Wings? I’ve NEVER understood the obsession. Drummies? Maybe. But seriously, BOTH are the dumbest snacks to ever be foisted upon us. Ever.
c. Great Marketing, though; I DO admire that! Find a TINY scrap of meat and make it a go-to food for sports gatherings? Brilliant, actually. ;)
d. So, how did your Granddaddy make his fortune, Sweetheart? He convinced people that a tiny scrap of meat off of a chicken wing was something they could NOT live without!
e. *SMIRK* Wish I was that smart!
Not exactly...
The 'war' between the NFL and us Fans was ignited by Colin Kaepernick, his fellow protestors and their ESPN/MSM sycophants.
President Trump just articulated the anger of the Fans who were being ignored by ESPN/MSN.
Good. Wing prices here have gone over a dollar a wing. Anything that. Rings them down is fine by me.
Ain’t no thang but a chicken wang.
You can bet the bookies are feeling it bigtime.
The fact that almost all NFL games take place on Sunday makes it very easy to boycott. Just find something else to do on Sunday, and soon, you won’t miss it at all. Plenty of other sports on TV. Plus, Sunday is a day off for most people anyway, so they can always find some other fun activity.
It would be much harder for a baseball or basketball fan to boycott MLB or the NBA. The beauty of those leagues, from a fan’s perspective, is the ability to watch a game on TV practically every night. That’s a lot harder to give up, especially when you just want to relax for a few hours after working all day, before going to bed and having to get up for work again the next morning.
The NFL isn’t playing with matches, it’s playing with dynamite.
A few months ago, I posted on FR my totally unscientific analysis. I noticed a glut of the preseasoned buffalo ready for grilling chicken wings at Walmart each time I went.
I thought it must be due to NFL taking the knee, and losing viewers. My Walmart would reduce them for quick sale every week. Now, they only put out about three to six packages of wings instead of about sixteen.
Maybe the NFL will start paying people to eat chicken wings so they can hide the truth... they pay ‘fans’ in LA to attend games.
The NFL is becoming as phony as MSNBC and CNN...
Sanderson Farms is awful chicken.
Not very long ago a local restaurant would have $.25 wing days. That was half their usual price. We’re talking maybe 9 years ago.
Just went to the same restaurant and ordered the small basket, which has 10 wings - $9.95. One little thing of blue cheese included, if you wanted a second one they charged $1.
I can’t think of anything else in the food business that has at least doubled in the past 9 years. If I do my math right that is an 8% increase per year. Outrageous.
About time the price came down.
