Nice try, but these days it’s not like nobody shops until the day after thanksgiving. Sales begin all month long, and the actual date of thankgsiving has very little effect.
Actually AC’s point is a good one. The timing of Thanksgiving makes a significant difference.
A greater part of the charging economy at this point is businesses who expect significant tax cuts coming than it is individuals who really only expect that if they have a slew of kids going to private school.
The corporate cuts will indeed to some degree trickle down, the impact will be less on the consumer side and delayed.
