U.S. retail sales increased more than expected in November as the holiday shopping season got off to a brisk start, pointing to sustained strength in the economy.
The Commerce Department said on Thursday that retail sales rose 0.8 percent last month. Data for October was revised to show sales gaining 0.5 percent instead of the previously reported 0.2 percent rise.

I didn't say that. It's not like EVERYBODY begins their holiday shopping before Thanksgiving, either.

90 percent of my Christmas shopping was done by black Friday. My december 1 most of my coworkers said they were done. Parking lots and stores are packed.

online shopping this year is so robust that the package delivery services are so overwhelmed that NO ONE, ranging from amazon and the rest of the online retailers to the delivery services themselves, is now guaranteeing that stuff will arrive by Christmas.
