If false accusation they should be charged.

Amen,My Granddaughter was 2nd wave in Iraq has it .Beautiful girl. She is doing good right now building small homes for homeless vets.

It hit me the same time another issue hit me and compounded it. Non service related but some tragic events in too short of time. I'm trying to head off a relapse from some more recent stuff. So far so good.

I have also been a state witness in an inappropriate sexual behavior case involving a juvie. Add to that when I was a new step father to two teen daughters and taking care of my wife their quadriplegic mother a LSCW for absolutely no reason began asking everyone questions about me including my wife which was at the time thought to be having a heart attack.

I found out a year later after it almost destroyed our marriage what the LCSW had done to the kids and my wife. The case I was involved in came years later. The kid was very disturbed. I learned a lot about how such issues are handled.

Just because he committed suicide doesn’t mean he is guilty.

Not too long ago, I was on YouTube and, somehow, came upon a video of a disgraced politician holding a press conference. I believe it was in Pennsylvania or New York.

I don’t remember what the politician was accused of, but it wasn’t a sex scandal. After speaking for several minutes and declaring his innocence, the politician pulled out a gun and killed himself.

I was horrified and curious, so I googled the politician’s name (can’t remember the name right now). It turned out that he was innocent and had been set up by someone else. I believe the incident happened in the 80’s. I was a teenager then, so that may have been why I wasn’t familiar with this case. So tragic.

My point is that, even if one is innocent, the accusations and the stress can destroy the accused person’s life.

Thanks, it’s not hard to understand.
Over and over and over in comment sections, I have tried to make that point.
There are some folks that have an emotional block to understanding and accepting that the particular word has a definition.
If a person wants to condemn an adult action with a postpubescent young person then, by all means, do so.
There are other words that are appropriately defined to describe that behavior.

I’m not defending anyone’s behavior. I am defending the English language.
Not accepting the definition of words hinders rational discussion.

Stop with your red herring. The man was not accused of doing anything with 13 year olds he was accused of trying to kiss a 17 year old, and that is not a pedophile.

And pedophiles have a string of child victims because it’s a mental illness. Stop trying to lump a man who was accused of trying to kiss a female who was legal age of consent and close to being an 18 year old adult with a person who rapes little kids.
You’re sick to not even see the difference.

Exactly. I’m not saying men who try to sleep with 16/17 year olds aren’t creeps, but they’re not pedophiles.

Robert Budd Dwyer

Throughout Dwyer’s trial and after his conviction, he maintained that he was not guilty of the charges levied against him, and that he had been framed. Decades later, the prosecution’s primary witness, William T. Smith, whose testimony was largely used to obtain Dwyer’s conviction, admitted in a documentary about Dwyer that he had lied under oath regarding Dwyer’s acceptance of bribes in order to receive a reduced sentence.

So there ya’ go to all the know-it-all posters who love to feel so self righteous and morally superior.
Man shot himself in front of the press and was later found to be innocent.

**PS OT: snitch testimony is the biggest reason for over turned convictions as they turn out later to have lied.

How do you know? Have you ever been falsely accused of child molestation? Burned any witches lately? There is a feeding frenzy going on. These are dangerous times for ALL men in positions of authority over women.

Look but don’t touch isn’t good enough anymore. One of Trump’s accusers didn’t like the way he “ogled” her. And she was in the Miss USA pageant.

No accusation should be made public unless charges or a lawsuit is filed. Any media reporting just accusations should be held liable for libelm

Thank you for interrupting so many crass comments with a bit of godly wisdom.

The Word teaches us that we should look to him when we despair and He'll do something great. The example which comes to mind is Samson who totally screwed up and knew it, made into a laughing stock, blinded, forsaken, and forlorn. Then, by God's grace, his hair began to grow again, his strength returned, and he prayed to the Lord. As his life ended, he destroyed a great many Philistines. And for that, honorable mention is made of him in the New Testament book of Hebrews.

Samson did not commit suicide although he was in a place of utter despair. Taking the path of suicide is a path that is totally lacking in faith.

I am a woman. When I was about 14, I had a pastor make inappropriate, uh, actions, I guess. I left. I suppose it could have been “devastating” but it wasn’t. I knew he was wrong and knew to avoid being alone with him again. Was I shocked? Yes. Especially cuz I was a fairly naive 14 year old. But, I knew how to deal with it.
That said, I have stopped believing most of these accusations. If, at 14, I knew how to deal with the situation, seriously....If a drunk guy groped me when I was 17, I would probably have decked him or kicked him.
I am so done.

Bullied people kill themselves who were completely mentally healthy until being bullied and not guilty of anything. This includes pastors and lay Christians.
