Bet we'll see more of this. Good riddance to the NFL.

This is probably the first of many similar lawsuits against the National Felon League aka the former NFL!

IIRC, the NFL has rules about the players and the national anthem.

Aren’t they required to stand with their helmets under their arm or some such thing?

Couldn’t there be a breaking of contract in there somewhere?

The NFL should settle this by refunding the ticket and legal fees out of court immediately.

If they don’t - they will pay way more than the $3k or whatever he paid for his tickets in lawyer fees alone. Assuming that they get a high priced lawyer to ensure a win at say $500/hour. Then in a mere 6 hours they are in the red. $300/hr - ok ten hours of work and they are in the red.

Even if they settle using a cheap $100/hour lawyer it will take more than 30 hours to complete the settlements.

Which means that either way it is additional funds depleted from the NFL that they cannot recover. I find this to be an excellent forcing of the NFL to throw good money after bad (the bad being everything they will lose in next years season ticket sales that they haven’t experienced yet.)

Louisiana resident Lee Dragna filed a suit in a district court Monday “seeking a refund for the tickets as well as attorney’s fees, claiming the protest by some players against police brutality and racial injustice has prevented him and his family from enjoying the games,” reported the The New Orleans Advocate.

The play of the Cleveland Browns has no doubt prevented their fans from enjoying the game. Do they have grounds to sue, too?

It is one of the few times I support a lawsuit. Who wants to pay to watch overpaid players disrespect the this country and those who have fought to protect our freedom. They make millions and are pampered and yet they whine and demand justice?
