I’m pretty much beyond caring about what the Paleosimians demand.
Old Jerusalem is where Yeshua walked and sacrificed His life. It is where the first and second Temples were located. This is the city that was occupied by Trans-Jordan in 1948, and all Jews expelled. It is the city where Jewish synagogues and grave yards were decimated and destroyed after the Trans-Jordanian occupation. It is the same city that Palestinians now claim Jews never ruled or lived in.
The Muslim Arabs now have created in the minds of many, a “Palestinian people”. They use a Latin term “Palestine” and then connect Arabs migrants, of Arab descent, to that term and call them Palestinians.
There has never been a Palestinian nation. There has never been a Palestinian language, There has never been a Palestinian capital. There has never been a distinct Palestinian culture. It was all invented in 1967 to create the illusion that Israel is not opposed by 366 million Arabs, but is persecuting the small group of Arabs immigrants, called Palestinians.
In 1869 Mark Twain wrote “Innocents Abroad” describing Israel and Jerusalem as neglected and deserted by its Ottoman owners.
One source in the 1800’s states the there was a total population of 18,000 in Jerusalem with 9,000 Jews, 4,000 Christians, and 5,000 Muslim Arabs.
The Emirate of Transjordan was created by Great Britain in 1921, two-thirds of the territory covered by the Palestinian Mandate was given to a Saudi Prince and an Arab Muslim sate created. Jews were told to migrate back westward across the Jordan. Hence the name Transjordan meaning East of the Jordan. Between 1921 and 1948 Jerusalem under British control.
In a 1931 British census there were 51,200 Jews, 19,300 Christians, and 19,900 Muslim Arabs. As late as 1944 there were three times as many Jews in the old city (97,000) as there were Muslim Arabs (30,600).
In 1948 Transjordan occupied what is call the West Bank and Jerusalem, expelling all Jews. Transjordan changed its name to Jordan because the name Transjordan means East of the Jordan.
Jordan (an Arab state created by Great Britain in the 1920’s) was able to occupy the city, and expel its Jewish occupants. They did not make it the capital of Jordan. They claimed it as part of their own nation, Jordan.
It was an occupied city between 1948 and 1967, but the occupation was by Muslim Arabs. This occupation did not negate the Jewishness of Jerusalem, nor did the previous Roman, Byzantine, Crusader, Arab, or Ottoman occupation negate it as the capital of Israel.
Palestine is not a nation, so they can’t put a capital any place. If they want to be a nation, they can first recognize Israel, create a Constitution that is model after ours, which means citizens being free, freedom of speech, gun ownership, capitalism and enjoy their nation (Gaza could be a great vacation spot with it being on the Mediterranean coast.). If they did that, I bet they could be the Arab version of Israel!

Should be noted that the Embassy, if it's moved and the site isn't changed, is moving to a site that's been in Israel since the 48 war. And that President Trump is moving the Embassy to Jerusalem, and is recognizing (State isn't), as Israel's capital but is not defining the borders of Israel or Jerusalem. Nothing prevents Israel from offering the terrorist palestinians "East" Jerusalem as a capital. Though the Arab residents of the "East" might not be happy.
That statement is stupid. How can you declare Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel to be null and void since he hasn’t withdrawn his recognition?
Yea, the “peace process” was going along so well, too.
