What amazes me is how easy it is for Democrats to get Republicans to turn on each other.

Democrats get it that politics is binary - it all comes down to a Democrat vs a Republican, the one with the most votes wins.

For them, the “issue”, whether it’s dating 14 year olds, eliminating poverty, promoting equality, climate change, fighting racism, or creating jobs - the “issue” is only important to the extent that it affects the number of votes. Democrats are focused on affecting votes and winning elections and don’t actually care about the issues they raise.

That’s why their “morals” are so inconsistent. They hate the death penalty for convicted murderers, but advocate the slaughter of unborn innocents. They want to criminalize workplace flirtation in the US, yet champion the rights of Muslims men to mutilate, rape and enslave their women and children. The inconsistencies abound, because they are not really inconsistencies.

Democrats play politics to win - all their talk of “issues” is purely strategic, completely amoral. Democrat politicians and voters alike understand this. They understand the only issue is power and redistribution. Once Democrat politicians are in power, they will legally plunder on behalf of Democrats.

Republicans are the stupid party. They think they need to convince their opponents they are wrong, and convince the American people they are good. That is naive. The Democrats don’t need to be convinced - they already know they are lying. The American people don’t need to be convinced who is good and evil.

What needs to happen is that Republican politicians and Republican voters have to learn how to play to win. Either a Republican or a Democrat is going to win.

Republicans are so disloyal! They almost let Trump lose against Hillary Clinton, the worst politician in history. They let Moore lose - they actually encouraged write ins, refused campaign financial support, bought into the Democrat smear campaign and urged Republicans to stay home! Now the Senate is that much closer to losing control.

How stupid is that?

Largely concur.

That happens when you have a party largely run by corporate lobbyists and big donors.

The GOP hasn’t given a damn about the average constituent in decades.

Both parties have also written off the middle class because there’s no money in it for them. They’ve spent the last 20+ years destroying it.
