Luther Strange was originally appointed to serve out the remainder of Sessions’ term, but then that dingbat interim governor Kay Ivey decided to hold this special election instead. All politics aside, I think Alabama will be a state that is in play for many election cycles simply because the GOP will have a hard time raising money there. That state has to have the dumbest Republicans outside of the Bush family.
